Sumac is very popular in the Middle East and Mediterranean region. In countries such as Israel, Turkey and Italy, dried, ground sumac is used as a flavour and colour enhancer.
It has a bright, sour, salty and slightly fermented taste.
Our sumac is an original sumac obtained by hammering sumacs that grow entirely on their own in stone mills and made by home style with all its natural ingredients. It grows wild around Gaziantep-Turkey.
